ATHERTON, CA – Menlo Athletics is proud to announce that three members of the Baseball program have been named to the 2026 CSC Academic All-District Team, recognizing student-athletes who have excelled both in competition and in the classroom.

These student-athletes were key contributors to the Oaks throughout the 2026 season and played an instrumental role in the program's success during its second year in the PacWest Conference and first season under Head Coach Mike Givens.
Oliver Hogan earned All-PacWest Second Team honors following a standout campaign at the plate. Hogan finished among the conference leaders with a 1.133 OPS (5th), .655 slugging percentage (8th), and .478 on-base percentage (10th). He also hit .372 with nine home runs and recorded 17 multi-hit games throughout the season. Matt Morrison capped off his senior season with an impressive year of his own, batting .313 with 45 hits, including six doubles and eight home runs. The Oaks' first baseman drove in 36 runs, scored 20 times, and started 43 of his 45 appearances, providing consistency and leadership throughout the season.
On the mound, Matthew Verdugo made a significant impact for the Oaks. The right-hander led the team with 12 starts and 52.0 innings pitched while posting 24 strikeouts and earning two victories. His reliability and competitiveness helped anchor the pitching staff throughout the year.
The trio's recognition as CSC Academic All-District selections reflects their dedication to excellence in all aspects of the student-athlete experience. Their achievements on the field, in the classroom, and as leaders within the program have helped set the standard for Oaks Baseball.
