2025-26 PacWest Scholar-Athletes of the Year
LONG BEACH, CA – Adding another historic accomplishment to her already sparkling resume, Menlo Women's Basketball senior guard
Alberte Frisch was named 2025-26 PacWest Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year on Tuesday. A Psychology major from Denmark, Frisch becomes the first Menlo Basketball student-athlete to earn this prestigious award that recognizes excellence in both athletic performance and academic achievement.
A truly impressive senior campaign for Frisch was highlighted by
All-PacWest First Team and
Menlo Athletics Winter Sport Female Athlete of the Year distinctions as well as the title of PacWest leading scorer at 17.8 points per game (fourth in the NCAA Division II West Region). She ended the regular season ranked fifth in the conference three-point percentage (.381), sixth in free throw percentage (.816), ninth in field goal percentage (.469) as well as fifth in steals (2.4), sixth in assists (3.5), seventh in triples made (1.8) per game, and ninth in assist-to-turnover ratio (0.7).
The PacWest Player of the Week once on
Nov. 24 after packing the stat sheet with 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals, and 2.0 assists per game while going 12-for-12 from the foul line in two contests, Frisch scored at least 11 points in 25 of her 27 games highlighted by the 32 she poured in during a 78-66 road win over Chaminade on
Jan. 15. The native of Rungsted Kyst, Denmark became the ninth Oak in program history to eclipse 1,000 career points on
Nov. 22 and went on to finish fifth all-time with 1,427 points.
Outside of her dominance on the court, Frisch proved to be a shining example of hard work in the classroom, delivering a 3.90 cumulative grade point average in Psychology. She collected her second consecutive
CSC Academic All-District Team honor as she closed out her career with a successful presentation of her senior thesis.
