In just her first season as an Oak, Erika stepped up as one of Menlo's most reliable players. Not only did Erika make it to the 1st Team All-Cal Pac, but she was tied for second on the team in scoring with 11.9 points per game and led them in assists with 3.3 per game. Erika had a number of strong performances throughout the year, but was able to make her presence known right from the get go. In the season opener back on November 5, 2011 Erika scored a team high 21 points and shot 75% from the field in Menlo's 79-68 victory over Oregon Tech.

Parents: Loretta and Jerry Garcia. Along with Erika's strong play on the court, she uses her knowledge of the game off it as during the summer Erika coaches youth programs at Garden Grove Parks and Recreation.
