Three Oaks Place at US Open for Menlo Women’s Wrestling, Glaudé Advances to Final X

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Menlo Women's Wrestling continued to make noise on the national stage as three wrestlers earned podium finishes at the prestigious 2026 U.S. Open against some of the top wrestlers of the country, while assistant coach Alexandria Glaudé captured a championship title and punched her ticket to Final X

Leading the way for the Oaks is veteran Louisa Schwab, who secured her second straight time placing at the tournament by finishing 6th at 55kgs. She battled through one of the deepest brackets of the tournament, with one of her losses coming to the eventual runner-up in the second round. Schwab would win four straight on the backside before finishing 6th overall.

Desiree Jones also turned in a strong performance a 65kgs, claiming 8th place. Jones opened the tournament in dominant fashion with an 11-1 technical fall before dropping her second-round match. Refusing to back down, she responded with three straight victories on the consolation side to fight her way onto the podium.

At 72kgs, Mikayla Lancaster showcased resilience in her run to an eighth-place finish. After falling in her opening bout, Lancaster stormed back with three consecutive wins on the backside bracket, highlighted by two falls and an 8-0 decision to secure her place among the tournament's top finishers.

Adding to the weekend's success was assistant coach Alexandria Glaudé, who dominated the 72-kilogram bracket as the tournament's top seed. Glaudé opened her run with a fall in the first round before adding two technical falls to advance to the championship final. There, she defeated Precisious Weiser, a Menlo Women's Wrestling alumna, by a 4-1 decision to claim the US Open title. With the victory, Glaudé secured her place at Final X, where she will compete in a best-of-three series for the Team USA World Team spot.

With three placers, a US Open champion, and a berth to Final X, the Oaks once again demonstrated the continued growth and national presence of Menlo Women's Wrestling.
