Head Coach Michael Ayala Earns Second Straight MPSF Coach of the Year Award

ATHERTON, CA - For the second straight season, Head Coach Michael Ayala has been awarded the MPSF Coach of the Year, guiding the Oaks to back-to-back MPSF Women's Wrestling Championship Titles while continuing to establish Menlo as the premier program in the nation.

Under his leadership, the Oaks produced an incredible eight individual conference champions, including Kayla McKinley-Johnson (110), Haley Narahara (124), Louisa Schwab (131), Stephanie Chavez (138), Desiree Jones (145), Alexandra Lopez (160), Kalila Shrive (180), and Mikayla Lancaster (207). 
 
Menlo's dominance peaked in the month of February, where the Oaks carried their momentum beyond the conference championships by capturing back-to-back tournament titles at the Cerritos Open and Sacramento City Open, closing out the season in commanding fashion.
 
With back-to-back conference titles, multiple individual champions, and continued tournament success, Ayala has firmly cemented Menlo's position at the top of the MPSF landscape. His leadership, development of talent, and sustained excellence across the program have earned him repeat MPSF Coach of the Year honors, further solidifying his impact on Menlo Women's Wrestling.
