Fokas and Reclusado Earn Gold at NCTA Collegiate Nationals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Menlo Taekwondo delivered an impressive showing at the NCA Collegiate Nationals, bringing home four medals and two major individual awards in a standout performance against top collegiate competition from across the nation.

Reclusado and Fokas Lead the Way
Leading the way for the Oaks is Kaitlyn Marie Reclusado, who captured a gold medal in Poomsae while also being named Female Poomsae Athlete of the Year. Reclusado continued to add an already decorated season, once again proving herself among the premier collegiate competitors in the country.

Sophia Fokas also stood atop the podium, earning a gold medal in sparring and taking home Female Sparring Athlete of the Year honors. Her dominant performance highlighted Menlo's strength in combat events and capped off a remarkable national tournament run.

Adding to the medal count for the Oaks was Jaslyn Yu-Hian, who earned a silver medal finish with a strong performance throughout the competition. Jacob Boodoo also battled his way to the podium, securing himself a silver medal and added another national accolade to the Menlo tally.
