The senior first baseman put together an outstanding 2-1 weekend for Menlo, hitting 9-for-12 with four RBIs, two doubles, and four runs scored during their opening series against CSU East Bay. He opened the weekend by going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two driven in, including what became the winning run in a 9-8 victory to start the series on Friday. Morrison stayed hot in game two, finishing a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored, and then closed out the weekend with a 2-for-4 performance that included two more RBIs, another double, and a run scored. His consistent production and clutch hitting played a key role in Menlo’s success, earning him PacWest Player of the Week honors as well as Oak of the Week recognition. He leads the Oaks in hits, doubles, RBIs, and batting average going into their PacWest opening series against Hawaii Hilo starting on Friday, February 13th with a doubleheader starting at 11am.
