2022-23:

Competed in both Cross Country and Track…ran a season best 29:15  in the 6K at the Otter Invitational…ran a season best 24:42 in the 5K at the GSAC Championship meet…competed in both the 1500 and 800 meters during Track season…ran a season best 2:49 at the GSAC Finals in the 800 meters.

Previous Experience:

Thomas prepped at Owyhee High School, where she starred both on the cross country course and on the track.  As a senior in high school, Thalia placed 20th at Nevada Cross Country Regionals, and placed third overall in the Elko League finals in the 400m dash.  At Owyhee HS, Thalia owns the program's fastest 200m time at 28.54 and the second fastest 100m time at 14.84.  Thalia opted to continue her track and cross country career at the junior college level at Southeastern Community College, where she switched her focus from sprints to middle distance.  In cross country, Thalia twice qualified for the NJCAA Division II Championship, running a career best 5k time of 21:20.8 in this season's championship race.  On the track, Thalia qualified for regionals in the 800m, 1000m, 1500m, and mile races, while also qualifying on the 4x400m, 4x800m and distance medley races.  Thalia managed to finish 12th or better in each of these events, and helped the 4x800m team to a third place finish overall. Thalia's collegiate PRs include 2:44.19 in the 800m, 3:38.91 in the 1000m, 5:39.33 in the 1500m and 6:07.03 in the mile.
