Previous Experience:
Paisley began running for Paraclete in her freshman season, where she was a vital part of their renowned program. In her first ever event, she helped the team to an overall victory at the Bell-Jeff Invitational. She would finish 28th overall in that race, and second best amongst freshmen with a PR time of 21:54.9 on a 2.94 mile course. Later that year, Paisley would also hit a PR of 22:59.0 on the 2.93 mile course at the Mt Sac Invitational and hit a PR of 22:20.4 on the 5 kilometer course at the Clovis Cross Country Invitational. She ran her biggest race of the season in the Gold Coast League Championship, placing 12th overall, and then would set a 3 mile PR at the CIF Southern Section Prelims with a time 21:07.5. Paisley would continue to be a solid force on the cross country front for the Gold Coast League, placing 13th in the League Championships as a sophomore and 16th as a junior. She would qualify for Southern Section Prelims again in her sophomore year, this time finishing 115th overall. To put Paisley's times in perspective, her current 5K PR would put her in the top 50 in the GSAC, prior to any training with the Oaks, so the sky would seem to be the limit on the cross country side for Paisley. On the track side, Paisley primarily focussed on the mile in her freshman year, however, she was able to notch PRs in both the 800m (2:43.78) and the mile (6:11.32) at Gold Coast Meets. She also earned her first podium in her freshman season, as her team finished second with her running the 400m leg on the Distance Medley at the Simi Valley Invitational. As a sophomore, Paisley's focus shifted to the 800m, where she would prove to be one of the top-10 runners in the Gold Coast League, placing as high as fourth in conference meets that season, while finishing in ninth at the League Championships. Paisley was able to compete in one event last spring before the pandemic shut down her season, earning her second podium running the first leg of the 4x800m race at the Oaks Christian Invitational.
