Hugo was one of the most reliable players for Menlo during the 2010 season. He ranked second on the team with six goals and was tied for second with 13 points, while starting 16 games for the Oaks. His banner year earned him 2nd Team All-Cal Pac honors and in a must win conference game back on November 6, 2010 against William Jessup, Hugo showed his big game prowess, finding the back of the net in the Oaks 3-2 victory. He is also one of Menlo's three team captains.
