2026 All-PacWest Teams
LONG BEACH, CA – In a season that featured historic moments, Menlo Men's Tennis added another in Tuesday's announcement of Pacific West Conference postseason awards. Junior
Robin McAlpine and freshman
David Espinosa Navarro, two dynamic talents on the Oaks roster, were both named to the All-PacWest Third Team as singles competitors in addition to their combined All-PacWest Third Team selection as a doubles pair.
Robin McAlpine – All-PacWest Third Team (singles, doubles)
Competing in the team's top singles position for the entirety of the season, McAlpine was a steady and productive force for the Oaks in 2026. He earned a No. 17 singles regional ranking after his work in a fall season highlighted by wins in at
ITA West Regionals and
versus NCAA Division I UC Davis then proceeded to stand victorious in four of his first five spring matches, beginning with a clinching triumph versus Fresno Pacific on
Feb. 7. The Surrey, England native won four of his final five matches of the year, besting opponents from Colorado Mesa and Westmont both in three sets en route to finishing with a 7-5 record.

Further underscoring Menlo's bright future, Espinosa Navarro made quite the impact in just his first season of collegiate tennis. His infectious passion for the game showed through instantly as he triumphed in three of his first four fall matches, reaching the Round of 16 at
ITA West Regionals to help him secure a No. 15 singles regional ranking. As part of his 6-6 record across the Oaks' second through fourth singles positions, Espinosa Navarro took down Jett Long of NCAA Division I Illinois State on
Mar. 13 to initiate a thrilling comeback as Menlo defeated their first NCAA DI opponent ever. The Murcia, Spain native finished the season with four consecutive victories, giving him ample momentum heading into his sophomore year.
As a doubles pair, McAlpine and Espinosa Navarro compiled a 4-6 record primarily on Court 1. The two prevailed in countable matchups with UC Santa Cruz, UH Hilo, Colorado Mesa, and Westmont over the course of the season.
