PacWest Weekly Awards (Mar. 2)

LONG BEACH, CA – Punctuating the 2025-26 season with back-to-back wins, Menlo Women's Basketball bested both Chaminade and Pacific West Conference Regular Season Champion Vanguard en route to the Oaks' second PacWest Team of the Week honor.

After ending the week's opening quarter against Chaminade on a 10-1 run ended the week's opening quarter against Chaminade on, Menlo never looked back in the 71-53 victory on Feb. 24. Four Oaks scored in double figures led by 14 points apiece from senior guards Alberte Frisch and Mehkia Applewhite as well as sophomore forward Zoe Carrillo.

Four days later on Feb. 28, Menlo celebrated Senior Day by triumphing over the conference's regular season champ in Vanguard 57-54. Trailing 21 at halftime, the Oaks executed an impressive second half, allowing the Lions just 13 points over the final 20 minutes while Frisch and senior guard Jayonnah Carter fittingly combined to score 30 points in the contest.

Averaging the second-most steals per game (11.3) in the PacWest, Menlo ended as the only conference team to rank inside the top three in both field goal percentage (.422) and opponent field goal percentage (.369).
