Laila Saenz triple, and capped by another Westbrook layup to put the Oaks in front before a game-tying score from CUI sent the teams into halftime knotted at 37-37.
Despite multiple high-percentage baskets by redshirt freshman guard/forward
Kimberly Ceron-Romero early in the second half, a 13-4 push by Concordia to end the third quarter created separation. Menlo proved resilient against the deficit as their ensuing 12-0 surge was fueled by five forced turnovers and two Saenz 3-pointers, helping the Oaks tie the game at 63-63 with more than three and a half minutes left. Despite four steals from Saenz and senior guard
Jayonnah Carter in the quarter, the Golden Eagles' seventh triple of the contest came at a fortunate time, giving the home team a lead they would not relinquish down the stretch to the 75-67 final.
