PacWest Weekly Awards (Jan. 26)
LONG BEACH, CA – Menlo Women's Basketball sophomore forward
Zoe Carrillo was named Pacific West Conference Defender of the Week after one of the best rebounding performances the PacWest has seen this season and plenty of other defensive highlights.
Carrillo's 13 Defensive Rebounds Mark Second-Most In PacWest Game This Season
As part of the biggest double-double of her career (17 points, 18 rebounds), Carrillo grabbed 13 rebounds on the defense alone at Jessup on
Jan. 22, putting her second only to Dominican's Keyonee Neal (14 on Dec. 15) among PacWest competitors in 2025-26. She added one block and one steal in the contest then matched those category totals two days later on
Jan. 24 versus Fresno Pacific. In that 80-59 victory over the Sunbirds, Carrillo made it 13 games this season (including seven straight) with at least six rebounds (five defensive).
Through the two-game week, Carrillo averaged 9.0 defensive rebounds, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game to now rank tied for eighth in the conference in rebounds per game (7.1) and among the top 21 in total blocks (8).
