SAN DIEGO, CA – Menlo Women's Basketball faced a tough challenge on the road against one of the PacWest's top teams, ultimately falling 90-67 to Point Loma Nazarene University at Golden Gymnasium. Despite the loss, the Oaks showed resilience and determination, keeping the game competitive through the first half.

Left it All on the Court
Menlo shot 42.9% from the field, including 21.4% (3-of-14) from beyond the arc. The Oaks capitalized at the free-throw line, converting 22-of-26 (84.6%). The game remained close early on, with Menlo keeping pace with Point Loma in the first half, trailing 34-27 at the break. The third quarter saw Point Loma find their offensive rhythm, outscoring Menlo 36-22 in the period. Despite the deficit, the Oaks continued to battle, showing grit in the final quarter.
Turnovers proved costly for Menlo, as Point Loma converted 21 points off the Oaks' 15 turnovers. Point Loma also had the edge in the paint, scoring 50 points inside compared to Menlo's 26. The Oaks, however, showed strong effort on the glass, pulling down 26 rebounds against a bigger opponent. The loss moves Menlo to 16-10 on the season and 12-7 in PacWest play as they look to regroup for their next matchup.
