ATHERTON, CA – Menlo Women's Basketball capped off their home schedule with a memorable victory, defeating Concordia University Irvine 54-53 on Senior Day at Haynes-Prim Pavilion. After honoring their three graduating seniors, Jesni Cooper, Angelina Dela Cruz, and Aliya Hunter, the Oaks secured their ninth straight win, improving to 12-6 in PacWest play and up a spot to #5 in the standings.
Getting the Job Done
Today was a celebration all around, thanks to outstanding performances from the following.

Alberte Frisch: Led the team with 22 points on 9-for-12 shooting, including 2-for-4 from three-point range. She also added 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

Jesni Cooper: Scored 16 points, going 8-for-9 from the free-throw line, and contributed 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.

Jordyn Rosette: Posted a double-double with 11 points and a team-high 11 rebounds. She also had 3 blocks and 2 steals.

Mehkia Applewhite: Made a defensive impact with 4 steals and 1 assist.

Team Defense: The Oaks recorded 12 steals, 4 blocks, and forced 19 turnovers to stifle the Golden Eagles' offense.
Oaks Deliver a Gritty Senior Day Victory
Menlo started strong, taking a 17-11 lead after the first quarter thanks to early three-pointers from Frisch and Rosette. The defense set the tone, limiting Concordia to just 8 points in the third quarter, allowing the Oaks to maintain their lead.
Despite a late push from the Golden Eagles, Menlo's defense came through in the final minutes. The Oaks held Concordia to 31.7% shooting (20-for-63) and forced 19 turnovers, capitalizing with 13 points off those mistakes. Offensively, Menlo shot an efficient 38% (19-for-50) from the field and 75% (12-for-16) from the free-throw line. Their dominance inside was evident, outscoring Concordia 30-24 in the paint and winning the rebounding battle 40-38.
As the final home game of the season, Senior Day was an emotional yet victorious occasion. Menlo's seniors, celebrated before tip-off, contributed to the team's success throughout the season, helping the Oaks climb the PacWest standings.
