ATHERTON, CA – Menlo Women's Basketball has continued their dominant run in the PacWest Conference, securing their eighth consecutive win with a 73-65 victory over Hawaii Hilo at home. The Oaks now hold an 11-6 conference record, positioning themselves at No. 6 in the standings. The win came on a special night for Alberte Frisch, who celebrated her birthday by delivering a standout performance that further solidified her place among the PacWest's top scorers.
Menlo's Statistical Leaders
It was a birthday celebration for the Oaks, with the birthday girl leading the way!

Alberte Frisch: Led the team with 24 points, shooting 8-for-15 from the field and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. She also added 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

Jordyn Rosette: Contributed 18 points on an efficient 7-for-9 shooting, including 2-for-3 from three-point range. She also grabbed 5 rebounds, recorded 3 steals, and had 1 block.

Mehkia Applewhite: Provided an important spark with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line.

Jesni Cooper: Dished out a team-high 5 assists while adding 6 points.

Menlo's Offensive Efficiency Leads the Way
Menlo set the tone early, jumping out to an 18-9 first-quarter lead behind sharp shooting and disciplined defense. Frisch and Rosette combined for key buckets, helping the Oaks control the pace. By halftime, Menlo maintained a 34-22 advantage, fueled by their 52.9% shooting in the first half.
Hawaii Hilo made a push in the third quarter, scoring 22 points, but Menlo responded with 23 of their own. The Oaks' offensive efficiency remained a key factor, as they shot 52.9% (27-for-51) from the field and 54.5% (6-for-11) from three-point range. They also converted 76.5% of their free throws (13-for-17). Menlo's ability to capitalize on turnovers was crucial, scoring 14 points off Hawaii Hilo's mistakes.
Frisch and Rosette's stellar performances have not only helped Menlo rise in the standings but have also placed them among PacWest's statistical leaderboards. Frisch now ranks #7 in the conference in scoring, #6 in free-throw percentage, and #11 in assists. Rosette is proving to be one of the league's most well-rounded players, currently ranking #11 in scoring, #7 in rebounding, #7 in field goal percentage, #3 in three-point percentage, #7 in blocks, and #7 in steals. These two have played major roles in the Oaks 8 straight wins!
