2025 All-PacWest Teams
LONG BEACH, CA – After making her dynamic debut for Menlo Women's Volleyball this season, junior outside hitter
Fuka Kikuchi was rewarded in Wednesday's Pacific West Conference postseason award announcement with a place on the All-PacWest Second Team. Possessing a unique combination of talents, Kikuchi elevated the Oaks program on a daily basis this past fall.
Kikuchi's Place Among The PacWest's Elite
Only a select few in the conference were able to deliver the offensive and defensive consistency of Kikuchi in 2025. Ranked fifth in both the PacWest at 3.47 kills per set and 3.91 points per set at the end of the regular season (top 10 for virtually the entire year), the native of Iruma, Japan was also responsible for 2.07 digs per set, making her one of just four conference competitors with averages above 3.45 kills and 2.00 digs per set.
The PacWest Player of the Week once on
Sept. 29 after recording two of her six double-doubles this season, Kikuchi posted 10 or more kills in 17 matches highlighted by the 24 she put down in a 3-1 win over Biola on
Oct. 24. Her second-highest kill total (21) was paired with 13 digs versus UC Merced on
Sept. 6 and, furthering her versatility, she logged four blocks against Azusa Pacific on
Sept. 17. Closing the year strong, six service aces in her final match on
Nov. 15 elevated Kikuchi into the top six with 27 in total.
The recognition, a first in Kikuchi's career, marked the fourth consecutive season that Menlo Women's Volleyball had an All-Conference honoree and the second straight since joining NCAA Division II and the PacWest.
