Fuka Kikuchi earned the distinction being named Pacific West Conference Player of the Week, a first for the Oaks this season.

Inside Haynes-Prim Pavilion for the first time this year, Menlo had a truly dominant showing against Jessup on Wednesday. Kikuchi could be found at the forefront of the attack, posting five kills in both the first and third sets of a 3-0 sweep that featured 13 kills plus 12 digs from the native of Iruma, Japan.
In the Oaks' first meeting with Dominican this season on Saturday, Kikuchi finished with a match-high 14 kills and added 12 digs for her fourth double-double of the year. She sent down four consecutive kills for her team midway through a second set that marked the highest hitting percentage of the season for Menlo (.444) then three more in a decisive fourth set which the Oaks won by 10 points.
Over the two matches, Kikuchi amassed 27 kills and 24 digs with three service aces and two blocks as well. She averaged 3.86 kills and 3.43 digs per set as she rose to a fifth-place ranking among PacWest hitters in points per set (3.79) and seventh in kills per set (3.26).
