Oaks Win Three in A Row with 9 Straight Sets Won

ATHERTON, CA – For their third game in a row the Oaks were able to defend Haynes-Prim Pavilion with yet another straight set victory. The Oaks defeated the Redhawks of Simpson University and took control of the entire match from start to finish, showcasing an efficient offense and solid rotations for everyone to get some playing time.
 
The Road to Winning 9 Straight Sets
Menlo came out swinging from the jump, recording 13 kills while having a .310 hitting percentage. The Oaks offense was too much for Simpson which led to multiple offensive errors as they cruise to a 25-16 set win. The second set was more competitive, with Simpson keeping pace early. However, the Oaks' offense still proved to be too much as the team was able to highlight 12 kills with with a .393 hitting percentage to take set 25-17. For the final set of the night, Menlo sealed the deal with a .400 hitting percentage with 12 kills. Wojciech Nowak was able get 5 straight aces on their way to a clean 25-17 final set to call match.

Wojciech Nowak was a force throughout the match, tallying 6 kills on 11 attempts (.545), 5 service aces, and 4 digs, contributing a match-high 11 points. Mark Ensalaco delivered 8 kills with a .533 hitting percentage and added 4 digs, providing a reliable offensive spark. William Lawler was the setter that ran Menlo's offense efficiently, dishing out 26 assists and adding a block assist. Makana Melchor Defensively, Melchor anchored the back row with a match-high 10 digs, limiting Simpson's offensive success.
