Breaking Down the Game

The game opened with a defensive battle as both teams struggled to find their rhythm offensively. Menlo's pressure defense forced 23 turnovers and generated 17 steals, translating into 15 points off Jessup's miscues. However, the Oaks were challenged by Jessup's paint presence, as the Warriors scored 18 points inside.

The Oaks found success in the second half, with Rosette and Frisch combining for timely plays to keep Menlo within striking distance. Menlo's three-point shooting added a spark, with the team connecting on 7-of-21 attempts from beyond the arc. The Oaks' strong defense held the Warriors to shooting just under 27% when their team's average is usually 38%, proving their dominance and ability to adapt.
