Santa Ana, CA-In a showdown between the Menlo Oaks and the Vanguard Lions, the Oaks put up a fierce fight despite ultimately falling to their opponents in three sets. Right out of the gate, the Oaks showed their determination, but the Lions came out strong, securing the first set win with a score of 25-18. The Oaks did not let up, though, and they continued to fight back, but the Lions maintained their lead, taking the set 25-20.
Throughout the match, Julius Stiemer delivered an impressive performance, tallying 11 kills with an exceptional hitting average of 0.647. His performance, along with the rest of the team, kept the Oaks in the game and showcased their resilience. Despite their best attempts, the Lions closed the match with a final set score of 25-19.
Though the scoreboard didn't reflect their efforts, the Oaks showed their grit and determination, leaving everything they had out on the court. As they regroup and prepare for their next match, they will take the lessons learned from this game and come back stronger.
