Atherton, CA-Today the Menlo men's Volleyball team celebrated their two graduating seniors, Dylan Cohan and Konrad Stoklosinski. The two have been a force to be reckoned with over the past couple of years and their skills have cemented each of them in our record books. Their character and passion will no doubt be passed down to the classes following them. Their ability to dominate different parts of the game has been a joy to watch and they will be missed dearly inside of Hayne-Prim Pavilion.
The Match
Today the Oaks were put up against the Ottawa University, Arizona Spirit. The Oaks were not able to leave with the win but played well in a three set loss. Stoklosinski was the kill leader for the Oaks as well as the dig leader. Julius Stiemer was next in line for kills, picking up seven, adding to a great season from him. Although the Oaks were not able to celebrate the win, they will surely celebrate the incredible careers of our two seniors.
Our Seniors
Konrad Stoklosinski, an outside hitter from Poland has littered our record books with appearances in the top 10. Some of those appearances include career kills, assists, hitting percentage, assisted blocks, solo blocks, total blocks, digs and is even first for career service aces. Beyond that he has the school record for most consecutive service aces at seven. Without even mentioning his single season records, Stoklosinski has proven himself to be one of the best, if not the best athlete to ever play inside Haynes-Prim Pavilion.
Dylan Cohan, a middle blocker from Carmel, CA has also had himself an incredible career. Cohan's appearances in the top 10 include: Hitting percentage, solo blocks, assisted blocks and total blocks. In 2022 Cohan asserted himself in the lineup and had the second highest single season record for assisted blocks with 50. What seems even more amazing about Cohan is his incredible attitude and character. Cohan spreads good vibes and love wherever he goes and will be sorely missed next year.
Final Note
Lastly I would like to remember Thadeus Niemera, assistant coach of the team. The impact he has had on this program has been incredible. No one has worked harder or put in more hours than Teddy. His dedication and love for volleyball is rivaled by absolutely no-one. He may be gone but never forgotten. Rest in Peace Teddy, you will be missed.
Up Next…
The boys will get a short break before they hit the road and play against The Master's University on April 6th.
