Game 1: Menlo 2 - 1 College of Idaho
Scoring began early in game one on Saturday after both teams were able to add their first runs to the board after the 1st inning. Aliya Lubrin led off the inning with a single down the right field line. Lubrin would then steal second off of an Oak strikeout to put a runner in scoring position for Bella Cortez who has already had a fantastic weekend. Cortez singled to left field to advance Aliya and put runners at first and third. Cortez was caught in a pickle which allowed Lubrin to steal home and even the score at 1-1. The go-ahead run would come in the 3rd inning after Alexandra Attard made it to first after being hit by a pitch. Jolena Velasquez laid the sacrifice bunt down to advance Attard to second. Emma Medina hit it to the fence with a triple to left field to score Attard and give Menlo the lead, 2-1. The Oaks were able to hold off the Yotes from scoring anymore runs and closed the game in 7 innings.
Shelby White completed a full game against College of Idaho and struck 4 Yotes out while only allowing 2 hits. This will account for Shelby's second win of the season and first complete game!
