Showing Heart
The match opened with an intense back-and-forth as both teams traded points early on. Menlo's front-row defense created opportunities with timely blocks, but Biola's offense capitalized on critical rallies late in the set to secure the first set 21-25. The second set was all Biola as the Oak's offense struggled to find its rhythm and would drop the second set 18-25. Now down two sets, the Oaks roared back in the third set. The Oaks offense turned it up a notch as the team had a .417 hitting percentage in the set. Menlo's defense also tightened up as critical digs were made in key moments for Menlo to claim their first set of the match. The fourth set was a masterclass by the Oaks. Menlo hit a match-high .481. Defensively, Menlo frustrated Biola's hitters, forcing errors and holding them to just five kills in the set. The crowd at Haynes-Prim Pavilion came alive as Menlo leveled the match at two sets apiece, looking for the reverse sweep. The deciding set saw Biola regain control. Strong serving and a dominant net presence allowed the Eagles to jump to an early lead. Menlo struggled to maintain their momentum and despite earning a couple late kills, the Eagles closed out the match decisively 7-15.

Key Performers
Beatrice Manzon was the engine of Menlo's offense, recording 42 assists, which kept the attack balanced and unpredictable. Manzon also added 7 digs, 2 blocks, and 6 kills, showcasing her all-around skills and leadership throughout the match. Janet Moala delivered one of her most efficient performances of the season, registering 10 kills with a .529 hitting percentage. Her strong presence at the net included 3 blocks and 2 service aces, making her a critical force in Menlo's third and fourth-set victories.
