Oaks Douse Firestorm in 3. Second Sweep of the Week.

ATHERTON, CA -- Men's Volleyball earns their second sweep of the week after dousing the Firestorm, 3-0 (25-18, 27-25, 25-16). The Oaks dominated once against with the team tallying 44 kills hitting at .375%! 


Lucas Larson Brought the Heat
It was another great showing from Menlo's senior setter, Lucas Larson, who tallied 33 assists, 3 block assists, a solo block, and 5 digs. Lucas has now surpassed 500 assists (510) on the 2023 season and is leading the conference in assists and assists per set (11.09). He also has 96 digs on the season becoming runner-up in the conference as well. Larson has been key to the Oaks success offensively and defensively and is going out with a bang in his final season!

Larson dished to three Oaks who were feeling good today! Konrad Stoklosinski landed 13 kills hitting at .417% also adding 2 aces and 3 digs. Edin Ibrahimovic also tallied 13 kills for the Oaks and 4 digs. Gabriel Knittel made some key plays stuffing some dig-overs into the Firestorm faces! Knittel ended the game with 7 kills hitting at .556% with a block assist. 


GSAC: Competitive Conference
The GSAC is by far the most competitive Men's Volleyball conference in the nation housing 5 of the top teams in the country. #1 Vanguard, #4 OUAZ, #5 The Master's, #6 Menlo, and RV Arizona Christian. With this victory over Arizona Christian, we solidify the 3rd spot in conference trailing Vanguard and The Master's. #4 OUAZ and #6 Menlo have the same conference record so tomorrow's match-up between OUAZ is pivotal for the Oaks. Konrad Stoklosinski is second in conference with 217 kills with Edin Ibrahimovic trailing in third with 166. Konrad is also second in conference for his impressive .391 hitting percentage. It all come's down to these next few games on the schedule to secure their playoff spots!
