MEN'S VOLLEYBALL BACK IN WIN COLUMN AFTER HOPE INTERNATIONAL SWEEP

ATHERTON, CA – Men's Volleyball is back in the win column after sweeping Hope International, 3-0! It was not the typical starting line up with some young Oaks in the mix but they held control the entire game and dominated for the victory! That puts Menlo at 11-1 on the season so far! 

Attacking Front Line

The Oaks were on the attack all game totaling 41 kills and hitting at .440% in 3 sets played. Konrad Stoklosinski led the Oaks with 16 kills hitting at .560%, 4 service aces, and 5 assists. Mathias Durfee is next in line with 16 kills hitting at .538%, a season best! He also contributed 4 digs, 1 service ace, and 2 assists. William Lawler has a career best 27 assists and 6 digs in his second start of the season. On the defense, Julius Stiemer led digs with 10 and also landed 11 kills on the day. Menlo continued the attack all game and was able to give other Oaks the opportunity to shine! 

Oaks Outperform Royals

In a side-by-side comparison, Menlo dominated against Hope in every column. On the attacking side Hope was only able to land 25 of their 69 attack attempts. Menlo landed 41 of 75 attempts to hit .440%. Menlo earned 7 service aces from 4 different Oaks. On the defense Menlo totaled 31 digs versus Hope who only received 20 digs. All-in-all, Menlo showed up with some fire after their first loss of the year this past weekend and were able to pull off the win!

Up Next…..

The Oaks are back on the road for a trip to Southern California next week. First taking on Todd Hollenbeck's old stomping grounds of University of Southern California on Friday, March 3rd at 4pm. Then they are back on the court on Saturday, March 4th against GSAC foe, The Master's at 1pm!
