2026 AVCA Academic Team Awards
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Menlo College Men's Volleyball epitomized what it means to be student-athletes as a Thursday announcement by the American Volleyball Coaches Association saw the Oaks awarded the Team Academic Award for their collective academic success this past year.
Determining Distinction
The AVCA's announcement of its Team Academic Awards recognized NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and two-year college men's volleyball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined grade point averages inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. All teams that qualified with the minimum 3.3 GPA were recognized for their academic accomplishments. There were a total of 58 NCAA teams honored by the AVCA.
From Classroom To Court
When not securing victories in both the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and non-conference segments, Menlo Men's Volleyball had its 17 Oaks working toward producing a 3.49 GPA at the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic year. Five MPSF All-Academic honorees helped propel Menlo to pick up the program's second consecutive AVCA Team Academic Award.
