Kianna's last and only other at bat was against Antelope Valley on February 5th on Game 4 of the 2-doubleheader weekend. Menlo was down by 1 with a late rally in the bottom of the 7th. Kianna Lum pinch hit for Sofia Quintero in a last effort to overcome the Pioneers. Young Oak Makes Plays

In Game 1 against Corban, Freshman out of Patterson, California, Emma Medina did a job in the top of the 4th inning with 1 out against the Oaks. Grace Christian opened the inning with a triple to right field. With a runner in scoring position, Medina flew out to left field for the sac fly RBI to allow Christian to score. Coach Sky has put trust in her freshmen newcomers this season thus far, as Medina has had 10 at bats in 5 games before the afternoon game against College of Idaho.

Game 2 was no different for Emma. In the bottom of the 2nd Emma was up to bat with 1 out and a runner on third and first. Medina put the ball in play to the pitcher and reached first on the fielder's choice. Maya Biven-Sommerville gets put out at second but Christian was able to score for the lone run of the game against the hitting storm of College of Idaho. So far Medina has 1 hit and 4 RBI in the 2023 season.
