ATHERTON, CA – Menlo Athletics is proud to announce that five outstanding Oaks have been named to the 2026 Academic All-District Softball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). This prestigious honor highlights the nation's top student-athletes who exemplify excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

Aleatha Buchner - Psychology
Makayla Mentzer - Marketing
Gabrielle Rodriguez - Psychology
Alina Perez - Psychology
Sierra Pasco - Business
These student-athletes were some of the biggest contributors to the Oaks Softball program during the 2026 season. Together, they delivered key offensive performances, strong defense, and leadership that helped lead the Oaks to success all year long. Alina Perez was a threat at the plate with multiple extra-base hits, while Sierra Pasco and Gabrielle Rodriguez earned All-PacWest Conference recognition for their offensive efforts. Behind the plate, Makayla Mentzer started nearly every game and served as a reliable leader for the pitching staff. Aleatha Buchner brought energy with her slap hitting, speed on the bases, and athletic defensive plays. With the contributions of these Oaks, the Softball team accomplished so much this season.
This quintet of Oaks have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and the ability to thrive both in competition and in their academic pursuits during their respective careers.
