Tim Hess begins his 1^st season with the Oaks, but brings many years of coaching experience with him.

Hess received his associate’s degree Chabot College where he competed in football and wrestling, placing 2^nd in the California Junior College Championship. He then moved on to Humboldt State University. Hess completed both a bachelor’s and master’s Degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Hayward. Following his collegiate career, Hess entered the coaching ranks at Newark Memorial High School where he also taught Physical Education, Health, and Biology. Hess has been a teacher/coach at Newark Memorial for an impressive 30 seasons, during which time he has trained many California state place winners and was named FCA Bay Area Coach of the Year.
