Christopher Batista

Christopher Batista, “Coach Chris”, is coming into his third season as the assistant coach for the softball program here at Menlo College. Coach Chris is excited to be a part of Menlo’s NCAA Division II PACWEST Conference era!

From an early age, Batista grew up watching three of his older sisters’ softball careers in one of the toughest Division II Conferences in the nation, the CCAA. Batista also witnessed his father’s incomparable coaching skills with Southern California travel teams in the early 2000s such as Sudden Impact, Dynasty, Sik Chix, Dirt Bags, and Tuff Enough, as well as seeing his father as assistant coach at Claremont Mckenna College. For the last few years, Coach Chris has been back in the game playing competitively on men’s fastpitch softball teams throughout Southern California. Coach Chris has appeared in several NAFA men’s fastpitch tournaments as well as ISC competition summer of 2023 at the 57th annual San Antonio Texas Glowworm Men’s Fastpitch Softball tournament. Coach Chris is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Menlo College Family. Not only on the field, but also in the classroom studying to complete his bachelor's degree in Psychology.
