Matt Tudor

Matt Tudor has been a vital part of the Menlo College Men’s Soccer coaching staff for over a decade, serving as an assistant coach for 12 seasons. He spent his first four years under former head coach Eric Bucchere and has continued his impactful work over the past seven seasons alongside current head coach Keith Lambert.


Tudor celebrated a major career milestone in 2024, earning his 100th win with the program during an undefeated GSAC regular season. He has played an integral role in Menlo's successful transition to NCAA Division II and the PacWest Conference, contributing to a second-place finish in the program’s debut PacWest season. Known for his expertise in goalkeeper development, Tudor’s leadership has been a driving force behind the Oaks’ defensive strength and overall team success.


Tudor brings a deep understanding of the game, backed by an impressive set of coaching credentials, including:

  • NSCAA Premier Diploma

  • U.S. Soccer National Goalkeeping License

  • NSCAA National Goalkeeping Level II

  • Positive Coaching Alliance Double-Goal Coach Certification


Prior to coaching, Tudor was a standout collegiate player at Wittenberg University (Springfield, Ohio), where he helped guide the Tigers to a 54-20 record from 1990–1994 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Following his collegiate career, he went on to play professionally with Ann Arbor Elite (USISL) in 1995 and the Detroit Rockers (NPSL) in 1996.


In addition to his coaching work, Tudor holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling from San José State University and has spent over a decade as a teacher and counselor in the Bay Area, supporting youth both on and off the field.


He currently resides in Mountain View, California, with his wife Jen and their two children, Ian and Ella. Tudor’s passion for player development, commitment to education, and steady leadership continue to shape the foundation and future of Menlo Men’s Soccer.
