Nick McCullar

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
  • Alma Mater
    Menlo College

Nick McCullar enters his first season as assistant basketball coach of the Oaks after a storied playing career in Menlo blue.  In his four year tenure McCullar did it all for the Oaks, serving as the captain for his last three seasons while climbing up the ranks as one of the most dominant players in Menlo history.  McCullar's 54.6 career shooting percentage from the field put him in 5thplace on the all time list and his 5.8 rebounds per game are good enough for 10th.  McCullar capped off his four year run with a remarkable 2010-11 senior campaign in which he finished second on the squad with 12.2 points per game and also took home the California Pacific Conference Defender of the Year as well as 1stTeam recognition.

As a coach, the native of Lawndale, CA has had successful stints in the women's game.  Last season while playing for the Oaks, McCullar served as an assistant coach for the nearby Menlo School women's program, and last summer at the helm of an AAU varsity women's team in San Carlos, McCullar took them to the Oregon Trail National Tournament.

McCullar graduated Menlo College last spring with a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications.
