Jimmy Meuel

Jimmy Meuel is in his second year at Menlo after joining the baseball coaching staff for the 2009 season. Meuel serves as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the program. 
Meuel graduated from Willamette University in 2008, lettering for three years in baseball. He led the Bearcats in appearances out of the bullpen in 2007 and 2008. In 2005, Meuel served as a student assistant coach at the University of California San Diego, where the Tritons won their first California Collegiate Athletic Association title.
In addition to his responsibilities at Menlo, Meuel coaches with Headfirst Baseball Academy in Castro Valley. Meuel currently coaches the rising senior team after previously coaching the 16-under team in 2007 and 2008.  He was an assistant with the 18-under team in 2006. 
While at Willamette, Meuel served as the student representative on the Trustee Working Group on Athletics, a group designed by trustees to create a 10-year strategic plan for the university's athletics program.
A Bay Area native, Meuel attended Palo Alto High, where he lettered in baseball and football on Viking teams that competed in the Central Coast Section title games in both sports his senior year.
