Menlo Clashes With First Nationally-Ranked Opponent Of 2026
After beginning the contest up 9-2, Cal Poly Pomona was met with three unanswered points by the Oaks including a pair of kills from sophomore outside hitter Dayjah McFadden. Menlo would rattle off three consecutive points once again in the frame, but the Broncos prevailed 25-12 then carried that momentum into a 10-2 start to the second set. Kills from junior middle blocker Avery Krebill and junior setter/libero Rio Sandaiji highlighted a 4-1 push to cut the margin to six yet CPP closed on top 25-16.

Two small runs enabled the home team to gain a 17-9 advantage in the third frame before kills by McFadden and sophomore outside hitter/opposite Kate Ross helped bring the Oaks to within six. Six of the final eight scores, however, shifted the momentum back to Cal Poly Pomona for the 25-15 final.
