2026 Pacific All-Region Teams

PITTSBURGH, PA – A consistent generator of the Menlo NCBA Baseball offense throughout the Oaks' debut season, junior Joseph Salmeron was selected to the Pacific All-Region Second Team in the NCBA's announcement on Tuesday.

Salmeron Stars As Menlo's Leadoff Sparkplug
Quickly establishing himself as an on-base machine who either initiated or continued many Oaks rallies, Salmeron went on to lead the team in eight different statistical categories. The native of Salinas hit .391 with a .475 on-base percentage, .638 slugging percentage, 27 runs scored, 11 doubles, three triples, 14 extra-base hits, and 44 total bases. He added 12 runs batted in and nine stolen bases in 69 at-bats.

Salmeron was on fire out of the gate, scoring 16 runs across his first eight games while hitting .407 before he was named NCBA Pacific North Region Conference Player of the Week for his productive efforts in the series with Simpson that included five runs scored, three walks, three stolen bases, two runs batted in, and a .384 batting average. Undoubtedly his biggest moment of the season came on Apr. 18 when he drove in a season-high three runs including the game-winner in the eighth inning of a thrilling 16-15 win over No. 1 Santa Clara.
