Game One: Westmont 3 - 2 Menlo
A 1-0 contest most of the way, the series opener saw Westmont get on the board with a hit batter and a double in the third before Morrison delivered a two-run moonshot homer to right field that put the Oaks in front 2-1 in the sixth. The Warriors responded with a homer and run-scoring double in the bottom half of the inning to move back in front 3-2 then Menlo had the bases loaded with just one out in the eighth but a double play allowed Westmont to escape with the lead still intact. The Oaks threatened once again in the ninth, putting the winning run into scoring position before a final groundout ended the battle.
Game Two: Westmont 3 - 2 Menlo
Three hits produced two runs for the Warriors in the opening inning of the day's finale, but, in the third inning, Morrison struck again for another two-run blast off the scoreboard in centerfield that tied the game at 2-2. Another quick answer by the Warriors brought in a run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom half and that 3-2 score would hold up despite the Oaks putting the potential tying run on base in three of the last four innings.
