Oaks Battle for Momentum in Battle Against Jessup

ROCKLIN, CA – The Menlo Men's Volleyball program faced a familiar opponent from its NAIA days in Jessup University, marking the first MPSF Conference meeting between the two programs. The Warriors came away with the victory, defeating the Oaks in straight sets.

Set-by-Set Recap
The Oaks and Warriors opened the match in a tightly contested first set, trading points through the early stages. With the score even into the midpoint, Jessup created separation with a four-point run to force a Menlo timeout. The Oaks showed signs of a late push, but the Warriors closed the set with a kill followed by an ace to secure the 1-0 lead.

The second set mirrored the opening frame, with both teams battling for control throughout. Menlo grabbed a late 17-16 lead off a Jessup error, but the Warriors responded with a run to close out the set and take a 2-0 advantage. In the third, the Oaks continued to compete, highlighted by a successful challenge and an early three-point surge. Despite the effort, Menlo struggled to find a consistent offensive rhythm, allowing Jessup to pull away and secure the set to complete the sweep.
