Resumed and Resolved as Oaks Finish What They Started with Walk-Off Victory

ATHERTON, CA – Menlo College Softball returned to the diamond to complete its suspended March 3 matchup against the Eagles, picking up in the top of the 8th inning with the score tied 3-3. With one final opportunity to secure a PacWest win, the Oaks delivered in dramatic fashion, earning a 4-3 walk-off victory and closing their season with momentum and confidence.

Biola 3 - 4 Menlo (8 innings)
Resuming play in the top of the eighth, Menlo turned to Lela Yslava in the circle. She rose to the occasion, striking out two Eagles hitters and working around a walk to keep the game tied and shift momentum toward the Oaks.

In the bottom half, Menlo wasted no time applying pressure. Tacia Kahalewai led off with a single and moved into scoring position on a sacrifice bunt by Emma Wilson. Emma Medina followed with a clutch single up the middle, advancing Kahalewai to third and putting the winning run just steps from home. With runners on the corners, Grace Tuiteleleapaga stepped in as a pinch hitter and delivered the decisive moment, lining a single through the right side to bring Kahalewai home and secure the walk-off victory.

The win serves as a fitting conclusion to a season defined by growth and resilience for the Oaks. Menlo finished the year with a win percentage that doubled from last season, highlighting the team's steady improvement and upward trajectory within the PacWest. With a strong finish and key contributions across the roster, the Oaks look ahead with optimism as they continue building toward future success.
