Zofia Dziewiecka was named Pacific West Conference Player of the Week following four wins across doubles and singles play for the Oaks.
Dziewiecka Continues To Thrive In Top Spot
Beginning the week on
Feb. 28 with a 6-2 doubles win over Stan State's Abbigail Mulick and Emma Yu, Dziewiecka joined fellow junior
Livia Harper in helping give Menlo an early advantage. The Warsaw, Poland followed by defeating Mulick in singles play on Court 1 with the 6-4, 6-4 result in straight sets.
One day later on
Mar. 1, Dziewiecka teamed with Harper once again to outlast Kaylee Lopez and Sofia Acuna of Dominican 7-6 (7-4), securing the doubles point for the Oaks on Court 1. Dziewiecka then pushed her current win streak to six straight by taking down the Penguins' Maria Gavrilov 6-2, 6-2 en route to Menlo's second consecutive 5-2 team victory.
