Box Score

ATHERTON, CA –
At home on Cartan Tennis Courts for just the second time this season, Menlo Women's Tennis swept doubles play then put pressure on Stanislaus State with two more quick singles victories before a pair of resilient three-set wins sealed the 5-2 final for the Oaks on Saturday.

Hidass, Jovic Emerge Three-Set Winners To Put Menlo Over The Top
None of the three doubles matchups saw the Warriors secure more than three games as junior Polya Nikolova and freshman Gloria Jovic started with a 6-1 win on Court 2 then juniors Zofia Dziewiecka and Livia Harper took down Abbigail Mulick and Emma Yu 6-2 on Court 1 while senior Yousra Hidass and junior Nia Macay also finished 6-3 victors at virtually the same time.

Both Dziewiecka and sophomore Ombeline Robilliart put their opponents away in straight sets to begin singles play, triumphing 6-4, 6-4 on Court 1 and 6-3, 6-3 on Court 5 respectively. Stan State responded with their first win of the day yet evenly-played matches on Court 2 and Court 4 would determine the end result. Hidass posted a 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 6-2 victory over Emma Yu while Jovic ironically delivered the her same losing tiebreaker score as a winner in the 10-point, third-set tiebreaker, besting Parker Orlando 6-7 (11-9), 6-4, 11-9 to close out the 5-2 final.
