NCBA Pacific Region North Weekly Awards (Mar. 18)

PITTSBURGH, PA – Headlining a series sweep of San Francisco with memorable efforts on both sides of the baseball, Menlo NCBA Baseball freshmen Ryan Wilson and Ashley Geary-Smith were named NCBA Pacific North Region Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week respectively.

Dynamic Duo Propels Oaks To Second Series Sweep
Wilson made the Oaks' debut at Cartan Field a truly memorable one as he had multiple hits in the contest on Mar. 14 including a three-run homer in his final at-bat, pushing Menlo to the 13-0 victory over USF in five innings. The three-game series wrapped up with him going 5-for-10 (.500) with a homer, a double, six runs batted in, six runs scored, and five stolen bases.

When he wasn't contributing with his own bat, Geary-Smith simply dominated in his lone start of the week. The freshman allowed just one hit across 5.0 innings on the mound while walking only one and striking out five to win the series final on Mar. 15.
