11/4/2026 3:00:00 PM

ATHERTON, CA – The California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) announced its 2026 Men's Soccer All-Conference selections Wednesday afternoon, with three Menlo College standouts earning recognition for their performances throughout the season. Junior midfielder Hugo Few headlined the honors with an All-CCAA First Team selection, while senior forward Tim Schwarz earned Second Team recognition and freshman goalkeeper Vebjørn Madshus was named an Honorable Mention.

The trio's achievements mark another milestone in an already historic season for the Oaks, who are competing in their inaugural campaign as CCAA members and their first season as full NCAA Division II members. With a postseason berth and three All-Conference selections now added to the record books, Menlo continues to establish its presence among the conference's top programs.

All-CCAA First Team - Hugo Few

Few, a junior midfielder from Cobham, England, earned First Team honors after serving as a driving force in the Oaks' midfield throughout the season. Starting all 16 of his appearances, Few logged more than 1,000 minutes while contributing six goals and four assists, consistently creating opportunities and making an impact in the attacking third.

Known for his crafty footwork, creative playmaking and ability to leave multiple defenders searching for answers, Few brought an exciting dimension to the Oaks' attack. His ability to create space, break defensive lines and turn seemingly ordinary possessions into scoring opportunities made him a key piece of Menlo's success. He also delivered from the penalty spot, converting both of his attempts on the season, both coming against Hawai'i Pacific.

His First Team selection is a fitting recognition for a midfielder who helped set the tone for Menlo's historic first season in the CCAA.

All-CCAA Second Team - Tim Schwarz

Schwarz, a senior forward from Wiesbaden, Germany, earned Second Team recognition after leading the Oaks' offensive production throughout the regular season. Starting all 18 appearances in the central forward position, Schwarz logged more than 1,200 minutes and finished with eight goals, four assists and an additional penalty goal, establishing himself as one of the conference's most dangerous attacking threats.

A constant problem for opposing backlines, Schwarz showcased his ability to accelerate past defenders with sharp footwork and find the back of the net in crucial moments. His offensive production also placed him among the CCAA's statistical leaders in several categories.

Schwarz finished sixth in the conference in shots, averaging 2.56 per game, while ranking second in shots on goal with 1.44 per game. His eight goals placed him eighth overall, and his 1.11 points per game ranked seventh in the CCAA.

The senior's consistent attacking presence provided the Oaks with a reliable offensive spark and helped propel Menlo into the postseason in its first year of conference competition.

All-CCAA Honorable Mention - Vebjørn Madshus

Rounding out the Oaks' All-CCAA selections is freshman goalkeeper Vebjørn Madshus, who earned Honorable Mention recognition following an impressive debut campaign between the posts. The Lillehammer, Norway native started all 14 of his appearances, totaling more than 1,230 minutes while recording 50 saves, four shutouts and a 7-5-1 record. Madshus faced 214 shots on the season, finishing with a 1.67 goals-against average and a .750 save percentage.

Despite being a freshman, Madshus quickly established himself as a steady presence in the backline. Known for his exceptional ability to track shots from distance and make difficult saves look routine, he consistently kept the Oaks in competitive positions throughout the season.

His impact was reflected across the CCAA statistical leaderboards. Pacing all CCAA freshmen in each category, Madshus ranked fourth in goals-against average at 1.38 among qualifying conference leaders, tied for third in save percentage at .750, fifth in total shutouts with four, and third in saves per game, averaging 4.07.

Madshus' recognition caps an outstanding first collegiate season and offers a glimpse of what is ahead for the young goalkeeper.

A Historic Season for the Oaks

Three All-CCAA selections represent another significant achievement for Menlo College Men's Soccer as the program continues to build its foundation in NCAA Division II competition. From Few's creativity in the midfield to Schwarz's offensive firepower and Madshus' consistency in goal, the Oaks' three honorees showcased the talent and determination that fueled a memorable season.

With their first CCAA postseason appearance and three All-Conference selections secured, the Oaks have plenty to celebrate as they continue making history in their first postseason appearance at the NCAA Division II level.
