Oaks Get It Done

The Oaks established their presence early, creating opportunities and putting pressure on the Warriors' defense. Avery Grieve and Isabel Amador each tested the opposition in the opening stages, while Menlo continued to build momentum as the first half progressed. The breakthrough came in the 42nd minute when Phillips found the back of the net with her head to put the Oaks up, 1-0. Dollins and Eldredge Sagapolutele combined to set up the goal, capping off a productive stretch for Menlo just before halftime.

Menlo carried its advantage into the second half and continued to generate scoring chances while Cordes came up with key saves to keep Stanislaus State off the board. After turning aside multiple Warriors attempts, the Oaks doubled their lead in the 72nd minute when Dollins scored to make it 2-0. The goal capped an impactful performance from the defender, who contributed on both of Menlo's goals while anchoring the backline. With a two-goal cushion, Menlo continued to battle through the closing stages as the Warriors searched for a response.

Stanislaus State pulled one back, creating a tense finish. The Oaks stayed composed through the final minutes, protecting their advantage and seeing out the 2-1 result. The victory marked a significant milestone for Menlo as the team secured its first CCAA win of the season.
