A New Look at Cartan Field
Fans returning to Cartan Field will notice immediate upgrades that enhance both performance and the game-day experience. The Oaks will take the field on a brand-new mound and home plate, complemented by new grass along the inner edges of the infield and a fully leveled playing surface. Additionally, a new clubhouse is currently under construction, signaling continued investment in the future of Menlo Baseball.
Coaching Staff
Coach Givens leads a deep and experienced coaching staff that brings energy, development-focused leadership, and a competitive mindset to the program. He is joined by assistant coaches Tony Masetti, PJ Fuentes, AJ Gonzalez, BJ Boyd, and Kris Mims, forming a staff committed to player growth and building consistency across all areas of the game.
Returning Oaks
Menlo returns a solid group of position players and pitchers who provide experience and stability as the program transitions into its next chapter. Senior Samuel Brewer (OF/1B) returns as a versatile option in the field and at the plate, while fellow senior Matt Morrison (1B) provides veteran leadership and a steady presence on the corner. Sophomores Braydon Wilson and Lakin Anderson return to the outfield, bringing athleticism, speed, and continued development into year two.
On the mound, the Oaks return a balanced mix of youth and experience. Sophomore right-handers Matthew Verdugo and Trey Silva headline a young pitching core looking to take a step forward, while seniors Donovan Kerr and Frank Grant add leadership, durability, and experience to the staff.
Newcomers
The Oaks welcome a strong group of transfers and key freshmen who immediately bolster depth and competitiveness across the roster. This incoming class adds balance at every position group, giving Menlo increased flexibility and depth as the program enters its first season under Head Coach Mike Givens.
Collectively, the incoming class brings a mix of collegiate experience, leadership, and fresh energy that aligns with the culture Coach Givens and his staff are establishing.
