HONOLULU, HI – Competing for the second time in three days on the Hawaiian Islands, Menlo Women's Basketball rallied in the third quarter to gain a lead in the fourth, but Hawaii Pacific countered for the 58-51 victory in the two teams' Pacific West Conference rematch on Saturday.

A 9-0 start by the Sharks led the home team to a 16-8 advantage heading to the second quarter. Long-range success continued for Hawaii Pacific in the second quarter and, though senior guard
Jayonnah Carter provided seven of her nine first-half points in the quarter, HPU entered halftime up 32-22 after a buzzer-beating 3-pointer.

After outscoring the Sharks 15-7 in the frame alone, the Oaks continued their momentum in the fourth with another 3-pointer from Frisch as part of what became a 14-4 run. Holding a 46-45 advantage, Menlo was hit by multiple HPU steals during what became an 11-0 response that allowed the Sharks to seal the 58-51 win on their home floor.
