ATHERTON, CA – The PacWest Conference has just announced the All-Conference awards and Menlo Women's Basketball is thrilled to see Jordyn Rosette and Alberte Frisch recognized on the 3rd-Team List. Their performances throughout the season helped propel the Oaks to a competitive campaign, with both players ranking among the best in multiple statistical categories in the conference leaderboards.
#24 Jordyn Rosette: A Dominant Presence in the Paint
Returning for her final season with the Oaks, 6'1" graduate student forward Jordyn Rosette from Elk Grove, CA, made a significant impact on the PacWest leaderboards. She averaged 13.0 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 48% from the field. Rosette's all-around play extended beyond scoring and rebounding, as she recorded 57 steals, 32 blocks, and 32 assists throughout the season.
Rosette's efforts earned her a spot in the top 10 of multiple conference statistical categories. She ranked #10 in scoring, #7 in rebounding, #7 in field goal percentage, #6 in steals, #7 in blocks, and was second in the PacWest in minutes played. Her ability to impact both ends of the court was highlighted by six double-double performances, including a season-high 24-point effort against Jessup on December 19.
Beyond the numbers, Rosette served as an unwavering leader for the Oaks, setting the tone with her work ethic and tenacity on the court. Her veteran presence was instrumental in guiding younger players and keeping the team focused through the highs and lows of the season. Her dedication to greatness and ability to rise to the occasion in crucial moments made her an irreplaceable asset to Menlo's success.
#6 Alberte Frisch: A Scoring Force on the Perimeter
Hailing from Rungsted Kyst, Denmark, junior guard Alberte Frisch showcased her scoring prowess throughout the season. She averaged 15.7 points per game, ranking #6 in the PacWest, while also contributing 3.1 rebounds per game. Frisch made her mark as a playmaker with 66 assists, 40 steals, and 6 blocks, further proving her all-around capabilities on the floor.
Frisch's efficiency and consistency were key assets for the Oaks, as she finished the season ranked #9 in field goal percentage and #5 in free throw percentage in the PacWest. She also stood at #11 in the conference in assists. One of her standout performances came early in the season when she scored a season-high 28 points against Chico State on November 14. Additionally, she earned PacWest Player of the Week honors after delivering stellar back-to-back performances against Hawaii Hilo and Concordia Irvine on Senior Day.
Frisch's relentless drive and passion for the game made her an undeniable leader on the court, inspiring her teammates with her energy and composure in key moments. Whether hitting clutch shots or facilitating the offense, she embraced the responsibility of being a go-to player. Her ability to elevate the team's performance with her leadership and determination played a pivotal role in Menlo's competitive season.
