FRESNO, CA – The Menlo College Women's Tennis team took on the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa University for a neutral site matchup at the Haak Tennis Complex in Fresno, CA. Despite strong efforts from the Oak's lineup, Menlo would fall to the Mavericks 0-4 in a match that saw tightly contested bouts.

MATCH RECAP
The Oaks started the day in doubles action with an impressive showing at the no. 2 spot. The duo of Liva Harper and freshman Yousra Hidass was the highlight of doubles by securing a 6-0 set victory over their opponents. Anthea Weiland and Milana Hrudka fought in a tiebreak but ultimately fell 6-7 (3-7) trying to secure the first point for the Oaks. The Mavericks would end up winning doubles with a 4-6 win at the no. 3 doubles spot.
In singles the Oaks were unable to find any momentum with the Mavericks taking 3 matches early in the day. The Oaks would fall in the no. 1 spot 2-6, 6-2. Lea Mocher would fight valiantly but was edged out 4-6, 4-6 with the Mavericks now up 0-3 on the Oaks. At the no. 6 spot, the Mavericks would sweep both sets 0-6 to take the victory, leaving the other three singles matches unfinished.
