FRESNO, CA & ATHERTON, CA – The Menlo College Women's Tennis team was able to split the weekend with a dominant win over the Chaminade Silverswords, and a tough defeat against the Roadrunners of Metropolitan State University of Denver. The Oaks would sweep Chaminade 7-0 on home court while falling to the Roadrunners 0-4 despite a valiant effort.

Menlo v MSU Denver, 0-4
The Oaks would start the day off looking to find momentum off the bat with doubles play. Menlo would earn the first victory of the day at the #3 doubles spot with Lea Mocher and Andrea Vlasceanu defeating their opponents 6-2. However, in the first two doubles spots, the Oaks would fall 4-6 and 3-6, giving the Roadrunners a 0-1 lead.

It was all MSU Denver in singles play that earned three straight singles matches to close out the match. Livia Harper put up the biggest fight against her opponent despite falling 5-7 in both sets.

Menlo v Chaminade, 7-0
After their trip to Fresno, the Oaks took on Chaminade on the Cartan Tennis Courts. The Oaks took a different approach and came out more aggressive, earning two 6-0 sweeps. The power duo of Andrea Vlasceanu and Milana Hrudka earned the sweep at the #2 spot along with Lea Mocher and Carlotta Stern at the #3 spot.

The Oaks carried that momentum into singles play, Stern and Vlasceanu earned straight set victories at the #5 & #6 spots with both matches being 6-0 sweeps. Liv Harper earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory over her opponent at the #1 spot with Mocher earning a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the #4 spot. Hrudka would earn 6-0, 6-2 victory at the second spot with Yousra Hidass having the toughest match of the day, taking a 6-3, 6-3 straight set win at the third spot for the Oaks.
